The projective geometry of rational homogeneous spaces

Homogeneous spaces form an interesting collection of algebraic varieties. For example they can be used to construct many families of Fano varieties. I will give a short introduction to algebraic groups and their projective homogeneous spaces, and I will introduce a few tools in order to study their geometry.
